Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Axiom, an online educational service operated by BLOOMFORGE PTY LTD. By creating an account, selecting a button that refers to these Terms, purchasing a subscription, or continuing to use the Service after being given the opportunity to review them, you agree to these Terms.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Disclaimer form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account, purchase a subscription, or use the Service.
If you use Axiom for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. A separate written agreement prevails to the extent it expressly conflicts with these Terms.
The Axiom service
Axiom provides adaptive VCE Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics practice, including question selection, typed and handwritten answer modes, graph sketches, AI-assisted marking and transcription, worked solutions, ratings, progress history, achievements, profiles, leaderboards, friendships, and messaging.
Some features, limits, and history periods depend on your plan. Current plan information is displayed on the Pricing page. Axiom is a supplementary study tool and is not an official examination or school assessment system.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create or use an account.
- If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has permitted you to use Axiom and enter into these Terms. We currently rely on this self-attested confirmation rather than collecting identity documents.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account details current.
- You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity performed through your account, except activity caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
- You must not share, sell, transfer, or allow another person to use your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may authenticate with email and password or an enabled Google or Microsoft account. Your relationship with an external identity provider is also governed by that provider’s terms.
Subscriptions and billing
Plans and prices
Axiom offers a free plan and paid Plus and Max plans. Paid subscriptions are available on monthly or annual billing intervals. Prices are displayed in Australian dollars on the Pricing page and in Stripe Checkout before purchase. Any applicable taxes or discounts are shown at checkout.
Automatic renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the billing interval you select until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method associated with your Stripe customer account at each renewal. The checkout page identifies the plan, interval, price, and recurring nature of the charge before you confirm payment.
Payment processing
Stripe processes payment details and provides Axiom with subscription and transaction status. We do not store full card numbers. You must provide valid payment information to Stripe and are responsible for charges authorised through your account.
Plan limits and fair use
Daily limits, history periods, and included features are shown on the Pricing page. An “unlimited” plan means normal personal study use and remains subject to reasonable technical, safety, anti-abuse, and fair-use controls. It does not permit automated, commercial, shared-account, or bulk access.
Price or plan changes
We may change future prices or plan features for legitimate business, technical, or legal reasons. We will provide reasonable advance notice of a material change affecting an existing paid subscription. A price change will apply no earlier than a future renewal, unless you expressly agree otherwise or law requires a different result.
Cancellation and refunds
You can manage or cancel a paid subscription through the Stripe billing portal linked from Axiom Settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and you retain paid access until then. Deleting an account also initiates cancellation or deletion of the associated Stripe customer relationship.
Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for the current period. Refunds, billing errors, and remedies are handled under our Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms limits a non-excludable right or remedy.
Acceptable use
You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. In summary, you must not use Axiom to break the law, harm another person, facilitate academic dishonesty, redistribute proprietary questions, send spam, harass users, upload unlawful content, attack the Service, scrape content, automate access, evade quotas, or bypass security and moderation controls.
Social and upload features must be used safely. Never share passwords or unnecessary addresses, school details, phone numbers, financial information, or other sensitive data through profiles, answers, images, or messages.
Your content
You retain ownership of original answers, working, sketches, photographs, avatars, feedback, reports, and messages you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, transform, display where you choose to share it, moderate, and otherwise process User Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide marking, transcription, history, profiles, messaging, and support;
- secure and administer the Service and enforce these Terms;
- comply with law and resolve complaints;
- produce aggregated or de-identified service statistics.
The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for limited backup, legal, fraud, dispute, or de-identified uses described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use student submissions to train our own AI models and do not authorise AI providers to train on requests sent under our zero-data-retention configuration.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and that our permitted processing will not unlawfully infringe another person’s rights. Do not upload another person’s work, image, or personal information without appropriate authority.
Axiom content and your licence
Axiom and its licensors own the Service, software, branding, question bank, solutions, explanations, interface, graphics, and other materials supplied by us (“Axiom Content”), excluding User Content and third-party materials.
While you comply with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access Axiom Content for personal educational use. You must not reproduce, publish, sell, sublicense, scrape, build a competing question bank from, remove notices from, or commercially exploit Axiom Content without written permission or a right granted by law.
Copyright concerns can be reported to support@mail.axiomvce.com with identification of the work, the relevant material and location, contact details, your authority to act, and a good-faith explanation of the alleged infringement.
AI and educational limitations
Marking, handwriting transcription, feedback, ratings, and recommendations may be generated or assisted by automated systems. AI output can be incomplete, inconsistent, or wrong. You should check important work and consult a qualified teacher where appropriate.
Axiom does not guarantee a particular grade, examination result, admission outcome, or improvement. Axiom is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, a school, or an examination authority. The fuller Educational and AI Disclaimer applies.
Third-party services
Axiom depends on third-party services including Supabase, OpenRouter and upstream model providers, Stripe, Google, Microsoft, Vercel, Fly.io, Upstash, Cloudflare, Resend, and Zoho. We are responsible for our own selection and integration of providers, but do not control their independent websites or services.
When you leave Axiom for Stripe Checkout, a billing portal, or an OAuth provider, that provider’s terms and privacy practices also apply. We are not responsible for third-party content or conduct outside our control, subject always to rights that cannot be excluded by law.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not offer a formal uptime service-level agreement. Maintenance, provider outages, security incidents, capacity limits, or events beyond reasonable control may interrupt access.
We may add, modify, suspend, or retire features for legitimate product, safety, technical, legal, or business reasons. We will provide reasonable notice where a material change substantially reduces a paid feature during a current billing period, unless urgent action is needed for security, safety, law, or provider failure.
Suspension, termination, and account deletion
You may stop using Axiom at any time and may delete your account in Settings. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are related but distinct actions; review the cancellation section before deleting an account.
We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where we reasonably believe this is necessary because of a serious or repeated breach, unlawful activity, safety risk, non-payment, fraud, abuse, security threat, or legal requirement. Where appropriate and practicable, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to contact support. We may act immediately where delay could cause harm or compromise the Service.
Consumer rights, warranties, and liability
Subject to those non-excludable rights, Axiom is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every answer, mark, recommendation, or feature will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or suitable for every personal objective.
To the extent permitted by law, we are responsible only for loss that was a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for loss caused solely by your breach, unauthorised account use that you could reasonably have prevented, modifications outside our control, or an independent third-party service where we used reasonable care in selecting and integrating it.
Nothing in these Terms prevents recovery for reasonably foreseeable loss available under a non-excludable consumer guarantee or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot be limited, or any other liability that law does not permit us to limit.
Disputes and governing law
Contact support@mail.axiomvce.com first so we can try to resolve a concern. Before commencing non-urgent court proceedings, each party should make a genuine attempt to resolve the dispute directly for at least 30 days. This does not prevent urgent relief or contact with a regulator, consumer agency, court, or tribunal.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Victoria may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory right you have to use another forum under applicable consumer law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Axiom, our providers, our business, or the law. For material changes, we will notify users by email and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Minor, clarifying, or non-material changes may take effect when published. The date at the top identifies the current version.
If a material change requires fresh consent under applicable law, we will request it. If you do not agree to an update, you may stop using the Service and cancel before it takes effect.
General provisions
- If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary and the remaining provisions continue.
- A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
- You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them with the business or relevant assets, subject to law and notice of material privacy changes.
- These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement about the Service, except for a separate written agreement that expressly supplements or overrides them.
